After years of writing, and after years of teaching writers, Kathie Giorgio has finally figured out the one thing that holds writers back from getting published. She has figured out the secret that keeps writers from seeing their words in print, from seeing their names listed on Tables of Contents. What is this secret?

WRITERS HATE TO DO MARKETING!

They hate researching markets. They hate the time spent looking at websites, paging through guide books, finding the perfect market to match their story. They hate writing cover letters. They hate creating labels and sealing envelopes. They hate trips to the post office. They hate it all. And what happens when something is so hated?

IT NEVER GETS DONE.

If you’re lucky enough to have an agent, you’ve discovered that agents won’t market individual short stories and poems and creative nonfiction pieces. That’s because agents work on a percentage, and the majority of magazines out there do not pay much for the work they publish. Kathie and the faculty at AllWriters’ can’t tell you the number of times that they’ve been told by writers that they need a secretary to do this dirty work for them.

Well, now you have someone that will do it. Kathie Giorgio, internationally published short story writer, director of AllWriters’ Workplace & Workshop and editor/publisher of Quality Fiction magazine. And the AllWriters’ faculty, writers currently publishing in all genres. Kathie, the developer of the Marketing Short Fiction class for Writers’ Digest’s Writers Online Workshops, has streamlined the tedious work of submissions down to an art, and her faculty has been trained in her method. So now they will do the work for you. You will finally have your work out in the mail, being read, and…being accepted!

Publication can’t be guaranteed, of course. But Kathie and the faculty will do their experienced best to make sure your manuscript gets where it needs to be. It is recommended, but not required, that if your piece has been submitted ten times without success, you have one of the AllWriters’ faculty look at the piece for editing. But it is not in any way a requirement to have them do so…it is completely up to you.

When you become an AllWriters’ marketing client, here is what you get:

*magazine choices from a skilled, professional writer who is fully informed of the quirks of the literary marketplace,

*cover letters professionally written and professionally presented on stationary,

*copies provided of your piece for snail mail submissions,

*a record of submissions with responses, and

*weekly email updates.

THE NITTY GRITTY

AllWriters’ marketing requires that each of your pieces goes to a minimum of five markets. There are package deals that allow you to either send one piece to more than five markets, or more than one piece to multiple markets. The breakdown is as follows (all choices refer to a short story, a poem, or a work of creative non-fiction):
:

1 piece to 5 magazines = $30 fee.

1 piece to 10 magazines, or 2 pieces to 5 magazines each = $50 (a $10 savings!).

1 piece to 15 magazines, or 3 pieces to 5 magazines each = $75 (a $15 savings!).

1 piece to 20 magazines, or 2 pieces to 10 magazines each or 4 pieces to 5 magazines each = $100 (a $20 savings!).

To set up your work with the AllWriters’ marketing service, please email director Kathie Giorgio at info@allwriters.org, or call Kathie directly at 262-446-0284. She’ll be happy to talk to you and get you started!
